Christine Roelandt, LMT
Christine graduated from Southern Utah Academy of Healing Arts in 2016, and has continued to hone her skills through training and education in order to provide the best possible massage therapy experience for her clients in Cedar City. Independently, she has developed an effective therapeutic protocol that can be tailored to fit the individual needs of her clients, combining elements of deep tissue, myofascial release, and sports massage.
She believes that the body is an extraordinary and complex living machine; eliminating pain and facilitating the body’s natural ability to heal itself through massage has become her passion. Through the integration of essential oils and other therapeutic tools, she aims to create an inviting, stress-free, atmosphere, where clients leave each session both relaxed and rejuvenated.
Specializing in Swedish, therapeutic, deep tissue, sports massage, scar tissue therapy, and myofascial release...
Swedish
The perfect "beginner" massage! Gentle and relaxing: long, smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil.
Therapeutic
Targeted massage utilizing multiple techniques to result in ultimate relief. Treatment is based on a primary assessment and plan that is outlined between the client and therapist.
Sports Massage
Developed for athletes who need to keep their bodies in great condition and quickly work out any stress or injuries. It can be used to prepare athletes for competitions, support their bodies while they compete, or assist with recovery.
Myofascial Release
Involves the application of sustained gentle pressure to the myofascial connective tissues in order to restore motion and relieve pain. Treats skeletal immobility by improving blood and lymphatic circulation.
Deep Tissue
Similar to Swedish massage, but is used to target knots and release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia. Benefits include reducing inflammation and scar tissue.
Scar Tissue Therapy
Rehabilitation therapy involving the pulling and stretching of scar tissue to encourage remodeling, boost collagen production, improve mobility, and relieve pain.
